Look Forward to Tomorrow…

From my friends at Navigating Life’s Journey

Here’s a great idea …

In their publication, The Personal Journey, H. Wallace Goddard and James P. Marshall say, “Look forward to tomorrow. People who are excited and hopeful about the future are likely to have better journeys. Hikers who look for and expect to find good things usually do find good things. Who knows what great things will happen tomorrow!”

In Other Words…

When we think about the future, we often spend a lot of time worrying about all the things that could go wrong. When our focus is on the bad things that can happen, that is usually what we will notice. If instead we choose to dream and imagine all of the good that could happen, we are more likely to see the positive when it comes along.

Here’s How You Can Use This Idea to Live a Better Life…

Spend some time today thinking about the wonderful things that could happen tomorrow. Expect that something good will happen, even if it’s something small. Be actively looking for these good events throughout the day.

My Two Cents: Envisioning the future is one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal. It’s a good idea to take five minutes when you wake up, five minutes during your lunch break, and five minutes before you go to bed imagining your life as you would like it to be. When you do this, you activate the subconscious, and events will start aligning themselves to bring your vision into reality. Set a goal today to start spending time each and every day imagining your life as you would like it to be.
